Defect details: Due to errors in the development and production process, the airtightness of the rear body flange (edge) area of the vehicle may be insufficient, which may cause water to flow into the vehicle interior and accumulate in the spare wheel well. When the vehicle is driven, water accumulated in the spare wheel well may come into contact with the fuel pump control unit, causing fuel pump malfunction. Recall as fuel pump malfunction may result in interruption of fuel supply, resulting in engine stoppage, which may increase the risk of vehicle collision
