Correction method: Replace the EGR module with an improved EGR module and clean the EGR pipe. If leakage is confirmed in the EGR cooler, replace the intake manifold
Target: Vehicles manufactured between (March 31, 2011 - May 15, 2019)
Defect details: Recall because there is a possibility of coolant leaking inside the exhaust gas recirculation system cooler, which may limit engine output and cause the engine warning light to come on. In extremely rare cases, the possibility of a thermal incident cannot be ruled out (*If symptoms such as an engine warning light or low coolant warning light come on while driving the vehicle, or there are symptoms such as a decrease in power output or a rattling sound, immediately stop driving the vehicle for safety reasons, get off the vehicle, and return to BMW Mobility. Target: Vehicles manufactured between (January 13, 2009 and December 16, 2016)
Defect details: When the vehicle was first sold, it was shipped with a steering wheel without TAKATA airbags, but after shipping, it was confirmed that the customer may have installed a sports or M sports steering wheel with TAKATA airbags among BMW-approved replacement parts. The steering wheel is equipped with an airbag inflator using ammonium nitrate, and the compressed gas propellant inside the inflator may be deformed when the vehicle is exposed to a high temperature and humidity area for a long period of time. In this case, the driver's front airbag may deploy abnormally during an accident, causing the inflator powder to rupture and causing injury to the driver. This is a recall. Production date>
