Hello, this is Seol Seong-tae, manager of Bareun Motors.
If I were a regular buyer, what would I be most worried about when purchasing a used car for the first time?
If you buy it once, it will last for a long time, so you might be worried...
First. I hope the price is cheaper than other cars. My budget is around this, but I end up buying the cheapest item. But there are definitely no cheap cars. Even dealers like us pay a little more for good cars. Customers who sell will never sell at a low price. If there's a cheap item, we'll buy it even if it costs a lot of money. But our dealers don't even look at fake items. Public auction? (deposit required for later viewing) Auction? In fact, it's more expensive. Competition among dealers is fierce, so there are many cases where products are purchased at a higher price. Still, if you look at the Internet and see that there are a lot of cheap cars, this is where you start to be deceived by false listings. False dealers deceive you even if they are the police. This is because reporting it will not solve the problem anyway. This is because there is no legal basis for crackdown. That is also why lies are still prevalent.
second. I worry that I may have been deceived.
Could the car have been in an accident? Could it be flooded? Could it be a total loss? Could it be a rental car? Could there be a problem with the car?
To put it bluntly, you only need to avoid meeting false listing agents or general brokers.
Consumer protection has been strengthened these days, so accidents are all recorded in the performance record.
Flooded cars, total loss cars, and rental cars (usage history) are all legally required to be notified. Some false information agencies do not provide notice because they have to deceive.
In detail
First, there may be distrust in performance records.
Unfortunately, the most reliable thing is the performance record. At least 95% of accidents are correct. The remaining 5% can be considered human error. (However, if the performance record and accident details are different, the performance agency will compensate.)
And it's a lower body oil leak issue. Most cars, unless they are new, have oil leaks. Leakage standards vary depending on the performance testing agency.
So, instead of meeting a fake seller or a general broker, you should meet the owner of the actual car and receive a guarantee.
Second, wouldn’t it be a flooded car, a total loss car, or a car with a history of use (rental car)? .
This part is all in Car History. If it's not available, just ask the dealer and they'll do it. If they don't do it, it means they're hiding something, so you don't have to buy it from that dealer.
Of course, for cars that are not insured, no matter how much you check the accident history on Car History, the accident amount, flooding, theft, total loss, or usage history are not listed. In this case, there is no way. The only way is to go to a nearby car center with the owner of a trustworthy car and check it out. What the general public should know here is that when looking at the accident history, you only look at the total cost of repairs, but don't look at it that way, just look at the cost of the parts. A total of 1.1 million won, including 500,000 won for parts, 300,000 won for painting, and 300,000 won for labor, may seem like a big accident, but it's not. This is very minor touches such as bumpers (500,000-600,000 won), headlights (300,000 won), and rear mirrors (300,000 won).
To summarize, when purchasing a used car.
I would say that it is better to avoid false listings or general brokerage agencies and meet the actual owner of the car, and even better, meet the owner of the car with a reliable guaranteed listing and meet in person to sign a contract.
This is because you must receive legal compensation, and for matters other than the law, you must receive compensation from the actual owner of the vehicle.
I have been selling used cars for 15 years. Several false listing sellers. I met a placement agent. These people won't last long. If you sell honestly, he will introduce customers and sell again later, but these people have to cheat one time and leave a lot of money. It won't last long. It will disappear within a few years.
I am a person who thought that the used car business was tomorrow. We have many long-time customers. And those who sell to me in the future will be treated as my lifelong customers. Buddha, please believe in my sincerity.

Correction method: Check whether water is flowing into the panoramic sunroof and whether drainage is smooth. Also, check the manufacturer of the curtain airbag's gas generating device and inspect the surface of the curtain airbag pressure cylinder accordingly for corrosion.
